Writing Workshops


• How to Get Published: Short Story/Novel
Students will learn all the steps they need to take in order to get published. The workshop will focus on finding an agent, targeting a publisher, crafting a sound query letter, etiquette, and the different types of requirements you need to have in addition to a finished manuscript, such as a synopsis.

• The Art of Freelance Writing
Students will learn the ins and outs of getting paid for article writing, blogging, copywriting and more.

• How to Write a Novel

This workshop is for students who are interested in writing a novel, and focuses on character and scene development, plot formation, crafting story ideas, writing conversation, etc. Students will learn everything they need to know about how to write a novel.


• Youth Writing Workshop
This interactive workshop starts off with a free write exercise to get the creative juices flowing. Students will then learn how to harness the use of descriptive language through playful fiction and poetry exercises. Each activity is designed to cultivate interest in positive expression through the written word. Imaginations required.
